Friday Night Jazz - January 2016
Performer: Eric Bindman Quartet
Born in Washington, D.C., Eric Bindman is a classically trained violinist who early on in his studies found a desire to branch out into other musical genres. As a young teen, he was already playing in his first rock band, moving quickly to bluegrass and jazz. Eric continued his classical and jazz studies at both Indiana University and the New England Conservatory of Music in Boston. He was an important member of the ground breaking all string group, RESQ (Really Eclectic String Quartet), and has shared a stage with jazz greats, Charlie Byrd and Mal Waldron, among others. Eric leads an active performing schedule, especially in the New England and South Florida areas. Eric recently returned from a European tour and an appearance at the Curacao International Blueseas Festival.
Wine and sparkling water will be available for a small fee and light snacks are complimentary.
