Join the Friends of the Mandel Public Library and other book lovers every second Friday of the month for a lively discussion of selected books.
December's book will be “The Keeper of Lost Things” by Ruth Hogan. Anthony Peardew is the keeper of lost things. Forty years ago, he carelessly lost a keepsake from his beloved fiancée, Therese. That very same day, she died unexpectedly. Brokenhearted, Anthony sought consolation in rescuing lost objects. Now, in the twilight of his life, he worries that he has not fulfilled his duty of reconciling lost objects with their owners. His lonely assistant Laura takes over, and her life begins to change. Informal book chatter begins at 11:30 AM followed by a moderated book discussion at noon. No registration required. Visit the library's online calendar for the Zoom link.
